By far this one has been the hardest for me. I know, I know, I have 2 kids to watch this time around, but geez.. I can just see myself 4 weeks from now.. I WILL BE HUGE!!! GAHH.. This is so frustrating.. Any tips on how to get through the next 4 weeks would be gggrrreeeaaattt.. thanks..

WOW!! Look at this! I am blogging... LOL!!!

I think the last time I blogged was right after Ike hit.. That was almost a year ago.. My sister keeps telling me to update this thing, so here it goes..
Where do I begin? Sooo much has happened since September of last year.. To start things off, Charlie, the kids and I found out that we will be adding a new littleone to our family. HE is actually due in about 8 weeks, but since I have a tendency to have HUGE babies, we are planning to induce about 10 days before the due date, which is May 26th. At first we were quite scared. Here's why. If you read my previous post, around the time of Ike we had gotten a puppy, Snickers. That was our way of saying we were done with having babies.. Well, needless to say, God had a different plan. Snickers was hit by a car and he died 3 days before we found out we were expecting. So, you can imagine the wave of shock that hit us pretty hard. Anyway. We are all doing fine and are quite excited for our little linebacker to join us.. Prayers are always appreciated!!

Thanksgiving and Christmas were quite the holidays that I most remember growing up. We got to spend both holidays with both sides of the family. My kids love getting presents, and being that they are the favorite great grandkids, grandkids, niece and nephew.. You can imagine the heaven they were in!! LOL.. Don't get me wrong, they do still have a bit of learning to go as far as the REAL reasons of the holidays, but hey, they are 4 adn 2.. Come on.. let 'em enjoy it right?

January rolled its way around and let me tell ya.. It was overwhelming for all of us. To start things off, Kaden started "school." He goes Monday, Wednesday and Fridays half a day and just loves it. Then, to top things off, he turned 4! I just can't believe my first born is 4 years old. Craziness.. He has made new friends, and is taking up tumbling and karate next to playing with the 5 year olds in one more year of T-ball.. Getting busy already!! ;) If you were a part of my life when I was growing up, you know that chaos was a word my famiy knew VERY well. Let's just say, Charlie has some things to get use to.. This is normal for me! I am posting some pictures of Kaden at school on a few of his holiday fun days for you guys to see.. Gotta love the cowboy genes that run in the family ;)

My attempt to make a Spiderman pinata.. I did an awesome job!! It took the kids a million tries to crack this thing open! GO MOM!!

This is Kaden at Go Western day at school!! He was such a stud! All grow'd up! :(

Just recently Karlie, my second born, turned 2. She had quite the birthday party! Tinkerbell it was. Craziness yet again! She is quite the demanding girl that's for sure. When we take Kaden to school, she just has to go in and see him off.. It's a ritual for her.. Actually, it's kinda nice because its a way of routine for her now. She is definatly getting bigger every day and is a challenge to figure out. Always keeping her mama on her toes.. But I love my sunshine all the same.. Enjoy some of her happy times..
After a looonnng weekend of parties, and fun the kids got to go feed some ducks and build birdhouses.. Check this out!

Over the next few weeks we will be getting ready to meet the little guy. So, I don't really know when the next time I will blog. If I left anything out drop me a line.. I hope you are all doing well, and that you have a great Easter holiday..
XOXO to you all,
Jenn and family

The Stegent Family.. Before, During and After IKE!!!

THE BEAUTIFUL SKY BEFORE THE LONG WINDY AND RAINY NIGHT!

Better late than never right?! Well, for those of you who don't know this already. We are okay, and very lucky that all we got from IKE was a bunch a rain and awesome neighbors that we love oh so much. Below are some pictures of the storms wrath on our neioghbors Jennifer and Jaime with their two boys, Hayden and Harrison's house.

These are better known as Kaden's boys!! lol. He just loves these guys! This was the Hayden and Harrisons Lewis' home after the hurricane!! Crazy!!!

What's funny about the whole thing is that we were soo consumed with all the excitement, we TOTALLY forgot to take any pictures of the whole event. So, thanks to all of you who have or will donate them to me.. LOL. But this one was taken by me..

Eating Daddy's BBQ Saturday after the storm!!

and again!! YUMMY DINNER DADDY
Okay, so you have seen some of the pictures. Let me tell you about the experience. If you were here, you understand that you don't mess around when preparing for a major hurricane! And by no means did we do that, but we did have to make some last minute decisions. And one of those last minute decisions was that my husband and I decided it was best to stay home rather than splitting up and one eventually meeting with the rest of the family in Tyler. Though we knew we were missing a beautiful wedding, we just couldn't chance being apart, and we just couldn't chance getting stuck in traffic! By the way.... Congrats Cody and Rachael Perdue.. We love you!! Needless to say, it was a good thing we did stay home because my front right tire and my spare tire of my car were in no shape to be driven on. Especially when there was a chance we could have been on the road for a while. Thanks be to God for protecting us on that one too!

This is Hayden helping his dad, Charlie, Scott and Carlos clean up. Talk about a team effort!!

Anyway. My other cousin Erin, her daughter Kaitlyn, and Kaitlyn's daddy Kenny all decided to stay here because they had to evacuate from the Clear Lake area. Though it was trying at times, I am so thankful that we were able to protect them under better circumstances than most people can say. We love you guys! Here is a picture of the kids at Lowe's on Friday before the storm. That was fun!! ;)

Okay, I am officially tired! I will write more on this story soon!!

xoxo to all who read!

HHEELLLLOOOO PEOPLE!!!

Okay, so I am told that I have got to update my blog.. post more pictures etc. Well, here it goes..
Today is Sunday August 31, 2008 and there is this storm out in the Gulf that I am just not sure which way it is gonna go.. (FYI. I don't think any of the weathermen/ women do either.. lol. Charlie and I keep trying to figure it all out, and just when we think we got it BAMM! It moves.. Anyway, as most of you know, I have wanted to have a little dog for a while.. Well, my wish came true. On Monday of this past week, we found a puppy that was in need of a home. He just happened to be a mixture of a Yorkie and a Jack Russel.. He is now 8 weeks old and very sleepy. Almost like having a baby again.. lol. Just so precious! The kids love him to pieces. We were torn between three names for the new little guy. Astro, Biggio or Mr. Snickers.. Being that he is mostly a black pup with a tad bit of brown, we decided to go with the Snickers. Actually, Kaden started out saying SMICKERS. It was so funny. Karlie calls him her pup pup! Too cute for words!
The Newest Addition.. meet Snickers!!

LOL.. Okay now that that's out of the way.. My kids are getting to be so big and super smart! Check out this picture of my baby boy Kaden! Okay he's not a baby.. He's a big boy! He was so proud that he traced his letters all by himself!! Gotta love that kid for wanting to do it on his own! Also, he made a shuttle with playdo and asked me to help him with the letters.. I am not lying when I tell you he wanted USA on it!

No lie.. He really did trace them all by himself.. So perfect too!!

What a joy he is in my life!!

Then there is my baby girl.. Karlie Ryan. This chic has a 'tude.. I wonder where she gets it from?! lol. Charlie and I have gotten a feel for what life would be like with her if we decide to thave more kids.. And there is only one word to describe it right now and that is, CRAZY!! Karlie is a jealous kiddo. She loves pup pup, but hates when her mama holds him. This picture was taken after she realized mommy was holding something and it wasn't her.. I love this babygirl!

She was ready to go home and ready to go to bed. Can you tell by those eyes??

Okay so to put the icing on the cake, and I mean literally.. I made my very first Double Layer German Chocolate Cake for my father in laws birthday yesterday, and it actually turned out pretty well! Take a look for your self. Let me know what you think!

With all that said and done, I have one last thing to fill ya'll in on. As most of you know, we have put our house on the market, and it's been up for sale now for a little more than 2 months. Well, yesterday while I was making my cake, I had a showing at the house. And ya'll know what? I couldn't have asked for a better lady to want my home. (no she hasn't put down a bid, but it looks probable that she will!) She was awesome! If you read my sisters blog, you will know that faith is a big part in our lives. And I gotta tell ya.. I was starting to run out. Just when I thought all was gone, this lady and her grandson show up. Weird? Yes it was! We shall see.. Anyway, I do have more pictures to post but I have to do it on another day..

Hugs and Kisses to you all!!

Jenn

Just an update..

Hey you all!!
We haven't really done too much this past week. I started to work a bit more in the YMCA and I am lovin it! The people I work with are awesome.. Charlie is doing well at work. For those of you who don't know what he does here's a little bit of information for ya. He works for a Metal company in Houston call Reliance Steel and Aluminum. It's exactly the way you read it. That's what he sells. He is an inside salesman who actually loves his line of work at the moment. SURPRISING?!? Yeah, it is.. Even for me! lol!! The kids are growing so fast too!! I look at my little brother and I see how fast he grew and I just know that before I realize it my little ones will be gone to college and starting their own families. Geez, I most definatly dread the empty nest syndrome days.. Speaking of my kids....

We finally have decided that we are going to take a chance and put our first home of almost 5 years on the market. :( We are sad and scared, but we know that it's that time! We are looking in a couple of different areas, but one thing's for sure.. We are staying in the Cy-Fair ISD area. We just love it out here. The main reason for us wanting to move is to upgrade in size. We have decided that we aren't done having children. (I know, I know.. crazy) But we just don't feel like we are done. This was a great house for a newly married couple and 2 children.. That's about it, and now it's time for another family to enjoy it!
SO IF ANY OF YOU KNOW OF SOMEONE WHO IS LOOKING TO MOVE TO THE CYPRESS AREA, GIVE ME A SHOUT! MY HOUSE WILL SOON BE READY FOR SHOW!!
As for this holiday weekend. Well, we spent the majority of it cleaning the house out! LITERALLY. We also went to my inlaws for dinner! That's about it! I hope you are all doing well, and would love to hear from you soon!!
Take care,
~Jenn~
p.s. sorry no pictures this time!! :)

FAMILY TIME IN BURNET..

Okay ya'll I am totally new to this blog thing, but I figured I would give it a shot. So, here it goes!
I have been married for 5 years in November. I have a 3 year old son named, Kaden. He was born January 17, 2005. I also have a 14 month old daughter named, Karlie! She was born on March 23, 2007. These two kiddos are my pride and joy!

Over the last few months we have been able to make quite a few trips to my parents house. They are known to my kids as MeMaw and PePaw! My brother is Uncle B or Bobo, and my sister and her husband are "Tyla" and "Wallett" for now. Eventually they will be better known as Aunt Kyla and Uncle Wyatt. As you can tell, these Aunt and Uncles are pretty proud of their niece and nephew!

As for the husband and me.. Well we are still trying to decide if the time is right for us to move from our first home to a bigger home and continue to expand our family. We just believe that there is something bigger and better out there for us. We just have to trust that God will someday show us where and what that is. Here are some pictures of my precious family!
Karlie and her mommy just love playing peek-a-boo!

Her new thing is telling us how old she is! She's one!!! My baby girl is getting so big :(
Isn't that the cutest and freakiest thing you've ever seen? The red cupcake was courtesy of my sister. She believes in giving them anything they want!!! That's why she's the favorite. :)

He most definatley loves his Aunt Kyla and Uncle Wallett!! lol.. The main reason for going to my parents house in May wasn't my birthday.. although that has been a highlight.. It's for my brother Brandon's graduation and going on to the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. That's right! He's going to college, and let me tell ya, I couldn't be more proud. He will be fighting for a starting position on the Crusador baseball team! Go B!!!Me and my sweet precious family at the Epicenter in Burnet, Texas!! Aren't we cute???

Well, there isn't enough time for me to put the whole nine yards in here, but just know that I will be posting when I can. Let me know how this turns out for you guys to read!
